Rectangular prism
A box is a prism where the base is a rectangle, and all the side faces are perpendicular to the base.
A box is also called a right rectangular prism.
Volume
The volume of a box is found by multiplying length, width, and height:
$$ \large V = a \cdot b \cdot c $$
Surface area
The surface area of a box is found by summing the areas of the six rectangles:
$$ \large O = 2 \cdot (a \cdot b + a \cdot c + b \cdot c) $$
Space diagonal
A box also has a space diagonal, which is the line from one corner of the box to the opposite corner through the space. It corresponds to the longest possible distance between two corners of the box.
$$ \large d = \sqrt{a^2 + b^2 + c^2} $$
